Kuwait Dinar becomes the first foreign currency to reach Rs. 1000

The Kuwait Dinar surpassed Rs. 1000 in some Sri Lankan banks becoming the first foreign currency to reach there. According to the Bank of Ceylon, Dinar is being sold at Rs. 1001.70 today (31).

Due to rupee depreciation, the other Middle East currencies too have been increased as follows.

Baharain Dinar has increased to Rs. 797.33, Oman Riyal – Rs. 785.59, Qatar Riyal – Rs. 83.98, Saudi Riyal – Rs. 84.24 and UAE Diram – Rs. 84.87.
